A brief blog, because we’re on the road again today. And boy, what a day for travelling – it’s absolutely scorching out there; been a bit like that on the west coast for days. And without the customary wind to give any relief … Anyway, we’re off to Inverness first, so I can be recorded reading from The Long Delirious Burning Blue for the Highland Council’s Am Baile website (it’s a great website on Highland history and culture, if you haven’t seen it) and their latest project, Literary Landscapes. It’s about the ways in which the landscape of the Highlands has inspired writers, past and present. There’s a map of the Highlands, and if you look closely at the Ullapool section you’ll find a little marker with me on it – this link will take you to my page and you should soon be able to hear me read from it.
Then later we’re off to the east coast – to Dornoch library, where I’m reading with a bunch of Two Ravens Press authors – Angus Dunn, Mandy Haggith and David Ross. Clio Gray will also be there. It starts at 7.30pm, so if you’re anywhere in the vicinity … come along!
